Tell us a bit about you!

Hi I am Courtney. I am an Agriculture Educator/Psychologist, which is exactly as confusing as it sounds. I have spent my career working in various parts of the industry and spent a bit of time teaching. In my downtime I like spending time with my dogs and playing football.

Why YFM?

I am passionate about the agriculture industry and helping people become more involved in the food they eat. I think this comes from learning the stories behind the growing, processing and production of food – which is where YFM fits in, as an agent to help me connect young people to their food systems.

Favourite food memory/experience?

We had a farm kitchen at the last school I taught at, so we would often harvest and cook with the students for lunches. It was great to see everyone come together over fresh food and the surprise in students faces when you could make a meal out of something they had grown.

Last meal you’d eat before the apocalypse?

A spicy curry, must have naan.
