Host your own Passata Day

You might have heard we’re having a Passata Day event in Sydney on Saturday March 1st? It’s going to be awesome, but if you live somewhere else and can’t make it, or want to have your own tomato-saucing event – don’t stress! We’ve put together a Host Your Own Passata Day pack that has everything you need to know.

This year’s Passata Day is all about seeing what young people around the country can create when we get together and roll up our sleeves – what that looks like is entirely up to you. Your Passata Day could play out in a kitchen or backyard with an intimate group or massive party, you might be keen to stock up on sauce to last the year or simply enjoy it on the spot.

To put your Passata Day on the map, just sign up using the form below to have a Passata Day event wherever you are on March 1st. The idea is that we’ll all be chopping, cooking and blending late-harvest tomatoes at the same time all over the country – we’ll be using the hashtag #YFMPassataDay14 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so we can see what everyone is up to.

Passata Day

We’ll send you an information pack including a recipe, instructions on how to bottle your sauce, and an equipment list.

See you at #YFMPassataDay14!

In the meantime, check out the Passata Day event we were part of in 2012 organised by preservation gurus, Laura Frangelli and Jess Robertson from The Source, for some event inspiration:
